To complement our new OE replacement lower control arms we proudly offer our OE replacement adjustable UCA(Upper Control Arm). Derived from our PROAngle drift UCA, these arms are extremely rigid while also being lightweight. Small adjustment via the outer rod end, these arms are designed for OE Replacement with minor camber correction and also feature lifetime SuperPro Poly bushings. Bushing cups are OE-sized so we also offer a no-bushing option if you already own these quality bushings.
Before ordering please forward any setup questions or concerns to FIGS customer service so that we can make sure these are the right fit for your desired use case. Extreme lowering, Airbag and cup kits, as well as extreme negative camber may require specific product changes and this is much easier to apply changes to our base product before they are manufactured. Thanks for understanding.
Features:
+/- 1.5 degrees of camber adjustment shortest is stock length.
Lifetime Poly Bushing by SuperPro, 1474K. Spare grease included.
USA FK High-Misalignment High-strength Precision Rod ends featuring PTFE liners for long life.
Monolithic machined 4140 Chromoly taper stud for highest shear strength. Rolled threads for easy install and torque and extra structural integrity. Made specifically to match the taper of the OE spindle.
Installs using factory hardware and new M14 lock nut is provided.
T-Beam steel construction for favorable strength to weight ratio. Keeps highest strength in the orientation of its force while still allowing for shock clearance. Makes the upper arm much lower profile.
Standard FIGS Orange Powdercoat finish.
Installation
Requires ball joint separator to remove the outer ball joint from the factory spindle. Remove castle nut and outer ball joint.
Remove the inner cross bolt that mounts through the factory bushings. 19mm socket and wrench.
Install new arm at the bushings first. The bushings will not need to be torqued in preload as the bushings are free-spinning. Torque to factory specs. Around 120 ft-lbs
Camber offset: with the wheel removed, jack under the lower arm to load the suspension. Position the oe spindle with the ball joint loosely fit and site the camber. If camber correction is desired, thread out the rod end if more negative camber is desired thread the rod end inward. NOTE: do not expose more than 3/4" of thread beyond the jam nut on the rod end to maintain max rated strength. The lower arm will have the fine adjustment for camber, the upper arm is just intended to offer an offset to account for suspension changes or wheel fitment.
Once desired camber setting is found, install the ball joint into the spindle. In order to torque the locknut the taper must be seated into the spin to prevent the stud from turning. The locknut on the TOP of the rod end should not be tampered with as it is there to hold the rod end onto the stud itself. An impact wrench works well to thread the lower locknut until the taper has fully engaged. Then apply final torque of 100-ft-lbs to the locknut.
Reinstall other components as required.
Match the number of exposed threads on the opposite side upper arm to achieve balance in both sides of the suspension.
If during the alignment more adjustment is required, dismount the upper stud and thread out 3-4 turns in the direction required (Within the min thread engagement discussed earlier.) If more adjustment is required, contact FIGS support for an alternate solution which may entail an adjustable lower arm or modified design.
