Our IS300 Rear MEGA ARM LCA was one of the first suspension products we created nearly 12 years ago. The product we offer today is the result of constant improvement over that time and never settling for "good enough". Many of our customers have been asking for an arm that wasn't a rod end. We went back to the drawing board to provide our latest version of the Street Spec Mega Arms.
The advantages of the Street Spec(bushing) version of the lower control arm over the rod end version:
1. Comfort and Noise Reduction:
Bushing-equipped lower control arms excel in providing a smoother and more comfortable ride. Bushings are designed to absorb vibrations and dampen road irregularities, resulting in reduced noise, harshness, and vibration transmitted to the cabin. This makes them ideal for street or daily driving, where comfort is a priority.
2. Durability and Longevity:
The SuperPro bushings we use in this build will come with a lifetime warranty. They are better suited to withstand the rigors of regular road use, as well as exposure to moisture, debris, and varying weather conditions. This longevity ensures that the lower control arms maintain their performance and functionality over an extended period.
3. Maintenance and Lubrication:
Bushing-equipped lower control arms require less maintenance compared to rod end versions. Rod ends often need periodic lubrication to prevent wear and maintain smooth operation. Bushings, on the other hand, typically don't require the same level of ongoing maintenance*.
*The bushings will come prelubricated and extra grease is provided. Thanks to the knurled insides of the bushings it's meant to help retain the grease.
