If your IS-F suffers from a rear wiggle under heavy track loads, or you feel a delay in acceleration from a dig, then you may be experiencing the compliance in the rear subframe mounts (AKA cushions.) These 4 locations are not only designed with intentional vertical travel (movement under load), but also provide a good amount of deflection when the rest of the suspension is solid, or poly.  It's not without reason, as the subframe connection is arguable one of the largest contributors to NVH as it couples all RWD driveline noise and suspension vibrations into the unibody chassis, so it does its job.  But when we step outside of the factory parameters with sticky tires, grippy brakes, and a higher load springs, not to mention aero, we displace all the load into the subframe mounts, which were not designed for it.

To address this issue for track cars, we developed these solid mounts and added a hybrid poly cushion to absorb some of the conducted NVH from a solid interface.  The inserts are made from 6061-T6 aluminum and designed to fit into the factory subframe and replace the large cushions in 4 locations as well as the snubber spacers on the opposite side of these these locations which create the mount.  They are designed to hold the geometry in position of a neutral mount and therefore not create any additional driveshaft clearance issues on the vehicle. The constellated design grabs contact in 6 places along the subframe bore, making install easy with a dead blow hammer, once the factory cushions are removed.  The result after install is a much more precise rear end, and a lot more confidence inspiring feeling under throttle and oversteer situations.
